she's a ghost, mostly. the names she uses are real enough, the documents and the identities and the backstories all check out, but whoever she was originally doesn't matter compared to who else she's been. one alias was republic. she enlisted young and came up through infiltrator training. she made it less than a year before she was tragically killed-in-action, embedded deeply enough that there was no chance of recovery. one is wanted for multiple counts of treason and criminal conspiracy against the republic. she's not entirely innocent of those charges, but they're definitely only on such a scale because she intercepted information the republic needs and they'll do whatever is necessary to recover it before it's lost. or released. she's a nobody from nowhere originally, and at this point those records are so regularly and thoroughly scrubbed that there's nothing official that would tie her to anything true. this version of her, frank, was born on an industrial planet to a mother who'd only known her father the one night before he left. frank grew up in the narrow aisles of a dockside street market, jumping between the stalls her mother and aunts and uncles ran until she was old enough to be put to work. she supposedly picked up a knack for technology and gadgets there, working under skilled members of her family, and she bought her way off world with the savings she'd scraped together doing odd job repairs over the years. anything to get off world and out into the system proper. it's someone's story, but not her own. at least not all of it. it's easier to round out a genuine sounding history with some truth sprinkled in, after all. after a year spent laying low under another alias, stationed at one of the more remote research labs, she came too close to being found out during a routine officer visit and she stole away on the next shuttle heading anywhere. she's spent the last couple of years slipping between ships, fitting into new spaces, new lives. she does work for anyone who'll pay enough on occasion under one of a number of handles, but mostly tries to keep any allegiances neutral. |
